Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Darjeeling

    Our representative will be there to receive the Guest at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) – He will be assisting for the transfer – Darjeeling – Nearly 105 kilometers 3 ½ – 4 hours’ drive – At an height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet lies the land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest is the Queen of the hills It is also home to the famous World Heritage train (UNESCO) – The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) – Check into hotel – Evening free to roam around Mall or local Shopping center – Over Night stay at Darjeeling

  • Day 2 - Lamahatta – Excursion to Takdah -Lamahatta

    Morning after breakfast drive and visit to Lamahatta Eco Park, Lush Tea Gardens. There are several tea gardens to explore near Lamahatta. Rongli Ranglot Tea Estate, Glenburn Tea Estate, Takdah Tea Estate, and others are among the most popular local tea estates. Later self activities at Lamahatta and village walk. And then transfer to Darjeeling hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 3 - Excursion to Mirik (Full Day)

    Morning Breakfast – After breakfast drive to Mirik nearly 60 kilometers / 1 ½ – 2 hours’ drive – The drive is through scenic roads with occasional stoppage for photography – Mirik is centered round Samendu Lake and is known for its landscaped gardens, tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom groves and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges – Full day excursion of Mirik Lake (Horse riding & Boating facilities is available around the lake – This high altitude lake is worth visiting One can also visit Pashupati Market in Nepal on the way back to Darjeeling – Back to Darjeeling – Evening free to roam around the Hotel / Resort or Mall or the Local market area – Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

  • Day 4 - Departure – Darjeeling to Phuentsholing

    After breakfast transfer to Phuentsholing (Bhuta) – Phuntsholing – Thimphu (9 Hours Drive). After permit formalities, we will drive to Thimphu. Overnight in Thimphu.

  • Day 5 - Thimphu Sightseeing

    Morning drive to Buddha Point for a fascinating view of Thimphu valley and later visit Mini zoo, National Library, Handmade Paper factory & Memorial Chorten (Stupa). Afternoon visit Folk Heritage Museum and Tashi Choze Dzong. Later in the evening free time in the Thimphu town. Overnight in Thimphu.

  • Day 6 - Thimphu – Punakha Sightseeing

    After breakfast drive to Punakha (4298 ft.)/ Wangdue, On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.) to view the higher Himalayas. Arrival at Punakha check in at hotel. After noon visit Punakha Dzong – built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952.  After that take a short and easy hike to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang – The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Punakha.

  • Day 7 - Punakha Paro - Excursion to Chele-La-Pass

    After breakfast drive to Paro and take a excursion trip to Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) – the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty & memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass. Back to Paro. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Paro.

  • Day 8 - Paro - Phuntsholing

    Today after breakfast in Paro Hotel we will visit Ta Dzong – National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong – Meaning “fortress of the heap of jewels”. The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Later drive  to Phuntsholing and for an onward journey. Overnight in Phuntsholing.

  • Day 8 - Phuntsholing to Bagdogra / NJP (Tour Ends)

    Tour ends, drop at Bagdogra / NJP Railway Station for onward journey
