Itinerary

  • Guwahati [Assam] - Day 1

    Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, transfer to your Hotel. After fresh n up charter a ferry to Umananda Temple situated on an Island in the River Brahmaputra. This Island is famous as the smallest Island on Earth. Later in the evening enjoy the Dinner cruise in the mighty River Brahmaputra with live cultural dances. Night stay in Guwahati.

  • Guwahati - Shillong [Meghalaya] (170 kms / 4 hours) - Day 2

    After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple. It is suggested to obtain a special pass to avoid waiting time. There after transfer to Shillong, via BadaPani Lake – biggest artificial lake in state of Meghalaya (also known as Umium Lake) and majestic Placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Check in to your Hotel. After fresh n up visit the famous Shillong Peak, Don- Bosco Museum and the Church. Evening is free to enjoy the boating in the century old Wards Lake. Night stay in Shillong.

  • Shillong – Mawlynnong - Shillong [Meghalaya] (89 kms / 2 hours) - Day 3

    After breakfast, drive 3 hrs to see Mawlynnong (Asia’s cleanest village), explore the village, then walk about 10 min to see living root bridge brilliant example of symbiotic living between man & nature. Later transfer to Dawki – a small village along the indo- Bangladesh border. Here you can do some boating on the Umngot River. The crystal clear water of Umngot will remain as an everlasting memory in your life. Later drive back to Shillong. Evening is free to explore the magnificent Police Bazaar. Night, stay in Shillong.

  • Shillong – Cherrapunjee- Shillong [Meghalaya] (65 kms / 2 hours) - Day 4

    After breakfast transfer to Shillong. On way visit the famous Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls and Seven sister Falls. At Cherrapunjee visit the Mawsmai Cave, Noh Kalikai Falls Thangareng park etc. Later drive back to Shillong. Enjoy the pleasant evening in Shillong. Night stay in Shillong.

  • Shillong – Bhalukpong [Arunachal Pradesh] (320 kms / 6 hours) - Day 5

    Today after breakfast transfer to Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong is a small town located in the foothills of Himalaya. Night, stay in Bhalukpong.

  • Bhalukpong – Dirang [Arunachal Pradesh] - Day 6

    Immediately after Breakfast transfer to Dirang – a town located at a picturesque valley. En-route visit Tipi Orchid Center that has an amazing diversity of over 500 orchid species. Visit Nag Temple, on route cross beautiful waterfalls and some spectacular views. Night halt at a clean and comfortable hotel in Dirang.

  • Dirang – Tawang [Arunachal Pradesh] (140 kms / 7 hours) - Day 7

    Keep camera ready, curvy picture-perfect roads! Drive to Tawang, on the way, you will have to cross the snow-capped Sela Pass which is at height of 14,000ft, and the Jung Waterfall. Visit majesty of Nuranng Falls where scenes from the SRK Madhuri Dixit starrer “Koyla” were shot. Night halt at a comfortable and clean hotel.

  • Tawang [Arunachal Pradesh] - Sightseeing - Day 8

    Today after breakfast transfer to PTSO, Madhuri Lake and the famous Bumla Pass. Here you can get a magnificent view of the China Border.

  • Tawang to Bomdila [Arunachal Pradesh] (170 kms / 7 hours) - Day 9

    Drive to Bomdila (7 hours), a scenic town which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-clad mountains. Enroute visit the Jaswantgarh war memorial. Visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gonpa), Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gonpa). Visit local market. Overnight at a clean and comfortable hotel at Bomdila.

  • Bomdila to Kaziranga National Park [Assam] (230 kms / 5 hours) - Day 10

    Drive from Bomdila to Kaziranga National Park. Your stay will be at a jungle lodge (Wildgrass Lodge) with standard amenities. Evening if time permits may gor for Jeep Safari.Bonfire can be available in the night. Overnight at Kaziranga National Park.

  • Kaziranga to Kohima [Nagaland] (6 hours) - Day 11

    Early morning wake call to get ready for Elephant Safari. First call at 05 Hours and second at around 6 AM. You may select any of the option depending upon the time and availability. After breakfast, drive to Kohima. Enroute at Dimapur visit the ruins of medieval Kachari Kingdom. Continue your drive to Kohima. Overnight stay at hotel in Kohima.

  • Kohima [Nagaland] Sightseeing - Day 12

    Today you will be taken to explore the neighboring Naga village of Kohima to understand the unique Naga culture. Come back to Kohima and visit the 2nd World War cemetery. Also, visit local Naga market places which are quite different from any other market places in India. Overnight stay at hotel in Kohima.

  • Kohima to Imphal [Manipur] (150 kms / 5 hours) - Day 13

    After breakfast, drive to Imphal, remember you are going to drive on the 2nd World War road. Check in to hotel in Imphal. Late afternoon visit Govindajee temple to see the evening aarti (religious ritual of worship, a part of puja, in which light from wicks soaked in ghee (purified butter) or camphor is offered to one or more deities. Overnight stay at hotel in Imphal.

  • Imphal – Loktak Lake (2 hours) / Keibu Lamjao [Manipur] - Day 14

    After breakfast drive to Lotak Lake. Take a traditional canoe boat to explore the Loktak Lake (The largest freshwater lake in Northeast India) to see different methods of fishing and to see their livelihood at their floating huts. Also you may visit Keibu Lamjao which is famous as the only floating National Park on Earth. Visit Sendra Island from the Lotak Lake. Visit Moirang en-route we visit Red hills to see the Japanese peace memorial – a monument in memory of Japanese martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Second World War. Also visit the INA headquarter INA museum at Moirang (here the Indian tri-color flag was hosted for the first time on Indian soil). In the evening visit the Ima Market (the only women’s market) probably the only market in the world that is run by all women.

  • Imphal – Agartala [Tripura] - Day 15

    Today after breakfast transfer to Agartala to board a flight to Agartala – the capital of Tripura. Check in to your Hotel in Agartala. After brief fresh up visit the Ujyanta Palace, Tripura State Museum and the Indo Bangla Check point. Night, stay in Agartala.

  • Agartala [Tripura] Sightseeing - Day 16

    Today after breakfast visit the Neer Mahal and thereafter transfer to Kasba Kali and the famous Tripura Sundari Temple (40 Km from the City). There after transfer to Sepahijala Temple. Night stay in Agartala.

  • Agartala Half Day sightseeing – drop at Agartala Airport [Tripura] - Day 17

    Today after breakfast visit the famous Kasba Kali Temple. Later visit the Agartala Township. Tour ends drop at Agartala Airport.
