Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati – Nagoan (3hrs / 121 km approx)
  • Meet and greet on Guwahati Airport and transfer to Nogaon. Overnight stay at Nogaon
Day 2: Nagaon – Shibsagar (6hrs / 243 km approx)
  • After breakfast transfer to Shivsagar formerly known as Rangpur, which was the capital of Ahom Kingdom from 1699 to 1788. It is well known for its Ahom Palaces and monuments. Here, you can visit Rang Ghar it is said to be one of the oldest amphitheaters in Asia. You can also visit the Talatal Ghar consisted of 7storeys, of which 4 sotreys can be seen on the ground and the other 3 are underground which were sealed and filled during British era. Overnight stay at Shivsagar.
Day 3: Shibsagar – Mon ( Longwa Village) (5hrs / 128 km approx)
  • After breakfast visit the Kareng Ghar which is also known as Garhgaon Palace is one of the example of Ahom architecture later proceed to Mon a district in Nagaland which is known to be the land of the Konyak Nagas Who were one of the greatest warriors among Nagas and practised headhunting During the  historic times. Night stay at Mon.
Day 4: Excursion on the Longwa Village
  • here you will be accompanied by a local travel guide. Night, stay in Longwa.
Day 5: Longwa (Mon) – Mokokchung (7hr 30min / 183 km approx)
  • Early morning immediately transfer to Mokokchung for overnight stay.
Day 6: Mokokchung – Kohima (4hrs / 144 km approx)
  • Early morning visit Ungma village which is the second largest village in Nagaland and the oldest and largest of the Ao tribe reside here. Later transfer to kohima for your overnight stay.
Day 7: Kohima- Horn bill Festival
  • After breakfast visit Kisama Village which is 12 kms from Kohima. The Heritage Village is designed in the form of an ancient Naga village to give an authentic feel of a true Naga village and the experience of traveling back in time. The gentle slope at the base of a steep mountain peak is the venue for the famed Hornbill Festival where you can witness fascinating and ethnic culture of the Nagas through this festival. You can also participate in the night carnival at Kohima where you can see people selling different items from Christmas decorations to chicken barbecue. This in fact is one of the most interesting aspects of the carnival, the entire street will be filled with lights and flooded with people. After the fun affair, head back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 8: Kohima –Khonoma – Asias first Green Village – Hornbill Festival-Dimapur ( 70Km/02Hours)
  • Today after Breakfast transfer to Khonoma village – only 15 kms from Kohima. Khonoma famous for being Asia’s first green village and for its rich history as a warrior village. It is known for its sustainable practices, unique terraced farming, and its fierce resistance against the British during the colonial period. Later transfer to the Hornbill festival. You can witness fascinating and ethnic culture of the Nagas through this festival where you will spend the rest of the day witnessing folk songs, dances and locals wearing colourful traditional attire. You can also visit shops and pick up souvenirs as a memento. Later transfer to Dimapur. Night stay at Dimapur.
Day 9: Dimapur – Guwahati ( 260 Km/ 5-6 Hours)
  • Early morning transfer to Guwahati . On way visit the ruins of the Kachari Kingdom at Dimapur. Check in to your Hotel in Guwahati. Night stay.
Day 10: Departure
  • Tour ends, drop at Guwahati Airport.
