The Dzulou valley derives from the Angami word the “cold water” in English. Djukou valley lies behind the Japfu Peak and is at an altitude of 2438 meters above sea level. It is located in border of two states Nagaland and Manipur.

The sumo picks up the traveler and drops them in a place call Zakhma which is the base of Dzukou valley. Zakhma is 20km away from Dzukou Valley.
